A suspension estimate may include a shock or strut, a coil spring, and mounting parts. From outside the shop, those pieces seem like one assembly, so it is natural to ask whether they all must be replaced together. The answer changes with the vehicle design and what is actually worn or damaged.

Shocks and Springs Do Different Jobs
